Sometimes you don't have room for a larger Buddha statue, and that is why we carry these miniature Protection Buddha statues. Measuring 1 and 1/8th inches tall (2.8 cm) the right hand of this Buddha Figurine is raised in the Abhaya Mudra, known in English as the Protection Buddha hand gesture. In the left hand of the Buddha is an alms bowl, as it is traditional for monks (such as The Buddha) to collect alms and eat only that which is given to them.

Some people might confuse this Buddha figurine with the Medicine Buddha due to the bowl in the left hand, but there are important differences. The right hand of The Medicine Buddha instead faces downward and is position just above the right leg, while there is also a Myrobalan plant in the bowl of the Medicine Buddha.
