Mini Shiva With Trident Statue, 1.25 Inches
This is a small (1.25-inch) statue of Shiva, the Hindu God of Destruction and Rebirth. Shiva is one of the most highly worshiped deities in India, and is both seen as one of the trio of gods, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, but is also seen as an individual deity. While Shiva is associated with Destruction, that destruction often means "Destroying Ignorance," or in the pursuit of Samsara, the destruction of desire.
This mini statue depicts Lord Shiva standing with a Trident, where the three tips of the Trident represent the beginning, sustaining, and destruction. The statuette also depicts many of Shiva's other icons, such as a drum that beats a rhythm for Shiva to engage in a cosmic dance that gives energy to the universe, a Cobra (as snakes are a symbol of rebirth since they shed their skins), the Crescent Moon, and a Lotus Blossom (a symbol of purity).
These statues also come with a small travel pouch.
