These Prayer Wheel Earrings are just a little under one inch in height, and are crafted in Nepal out of sterling silver. They are light and are a representation of a Buddhist Prayer wheel, which is used in religious ceremonies. the prayer wheel is spun in the hand while the written prayers which are kept inside the wheel are thought to be recited once for each turn of the wheel. the prayer effect is multiplied by putting hundreds of written prayers inside each wheel so that a single rotation of the wheel actually results in numerous prayer chants.
