While this may look like a metal statue of Lord Krishna, this icon of the Hindu deity is actually made of Bronze Resin, a composite material that mixes resin powder with a hard setting resin. The result is a beautiful image of Lord Krishna that boasts a metallic sheen that has been painted for added detail.
This figure depicts Krishna Leela, meaning "Krishna at Play," and the Eighth Avatar of Lord Vishnu plays beautiful songs on the flute to win over the hearts of the local milk maids (known as gopis). While depicted as a Divine Lover in this statue, Krishna is often commonly represented as an adorable child know as The Butter Thief, common in paintings, and can also be seen as the chariot driver for the warrior Arjuna from the epic Mahabharata.
