Metal Buddha StatuesMetal Buddha Statues are generally made in bronze and brass, but sometimes contain gold and copper. These metals are easy to cast in to statues, and the nicest metal Buddhas we have seen are from Thailand. But some people prefer a Buddha Statue in the Indian style, and you can find Metal Buddhist statues from Nepal and India as well. Our smaller statues (under 4 inches) are going to be in our Buddha Figurines page.
Common Metals Used In Buddhist StatuesThe most common metal is brass, followed by bronze. Actually, these two metals are very similar to one another, and the only difference is the amount of copper that is in them. But any statue made from either of these two metals would have a patina applied, which is a faux aged finish. Otherwise, you would have a VERY shiny Buddha statue indeed. Most Appropriate Place for Metal StatuesBecause some of the metal Buddha statues are actually filled with concrete, they can be quite heavy, and putting them on a Buddhist altar table would be ideal, as it will be able to absorb the weight. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
