Katog Choling Rit'hröd is a very special estate in the Ozark Mountains, Arkansas that contains all the marks & auspicious signs described in Buddhist texts for identifying appropriate retreat land ideal for accomplishing practice. Khentrul Lodrö Thayé Rinpoche abbot of Katog Mardo Tashi Choling in Eastern Tibet, is the spiritual director of Katog Rit’hrod & its affiliate centers & practice groups located around the world. The aim is to build a temple & representations of enlightened body, speech & mind, to develop traditional Buddhist philosophy courses & meditation retreat, including a traditional 3 year retreat, as well as a healing center.
