Dear friends,We want to take this opportunity and wishTo all our friend in North AmericaHAPPY THANKSGIVING!Best wishes,YehudaEncounter of Sawa RabinaSaturday, September 9th 2008Present were: Mr. Hamud Katish – Forum’s Chair, Mr. Rizk Azam – Forum’s Secretary, Mr. Hanna Shehade – member, Mr. Anwar Asakla – member, Mr. Atef Abed – memer, Mr. Kamal Asakla – member, Mr. Naji Azam – member, Mr. Afif Ghanem – member, Ms. Rdia Asakla – member, Ms. Nada Abu Zaidan – Project’s Coordinator.Absent: Mr. Mufid Azam, Mr. Ahmed Aslan, Mr. Rashik Kisr, Mr, Kasem Othman, Mr. Adel Hino, Mr. Kamal Shini, Mr. Shafik Jahshan, Mr. Majed Ghanem, Ms. Julia Ghanem, Ms. Hila Ghanem, Ms. Sumia Azam, Ms. Pnina Ghanem, Ms. Itaf Ghanem.Theme: evaluation of the activity on Monday September 1st – distribution of gifts to all schools in the first day of the school year 2008-9.Mr. Hamud Katish opened the meeting and asked the volunteers to share their reflections.Mr. Hana Shehadeh: I visited elementary school B and delivered the gift to the school principle Mr. Asad Abu Zaidan who was happy about the idea and thanked all volunteers for this activity.Mr. Kamal Asakla: Thanked all members of his group who realized the activity in elementary school B, where we had many activities during the years and these continue till today. The Education Committee was happy about the idea, especially for us going into the classrooms and speaking with the children.Mr. Atef Abed: We began the day with activity about road safety in elementary school D and then we spoke with the students during the morning.The principle and all teachers accepted us with joy and encouraged us to continue.Ms. Rdia Asakla: I first participated with the road safety activity in elementary school D and then went to the Special Education School.Both accepted us with joy and respect and thanked everyone who took part in this activity as well as the community center for all they do for the village.Mr. Rizk Azam: I visited elementary school C. The atmosphere was good and the principle Mr. Makdad Sirhan thanked the volunteers and the community center for the symbolic gift and the many projects that help build good society in our village.Ms. Nada Abu Zaidan: This activity moved us a good step forward. Now all citizens of the village will know us and the students know our Forum, as well as school principles and teachers. Many principles called to thank us and the community center and the volunteers in the forum.Mr. Hamud Katish: I visited Second School A.
